The necessary radical reduction of agricultural carbon emissions calls for a wider spectrum of power. As one of the potential future solutions, AGCO Power has developed a mild hybrid concept engine that combines the excellent torque and fuel economy of the CORE engine platform with hydrogen fuel system and electric drive train components. The resulting mild hybrid concept engine produces zero-emission power with hydrogen while the electric drive train components provide additional power and torque when needed.
At Agritechnica 2023, AGCO Power presented the CORE50 eHydrogen engine. In the video below, Sub Module Lead Engineer Lauri Nurmela shows us what the future of power looks like.
