When used as a standby power supply, the diesel generator launches either automatically or manually upon power grid failures. Our generators can also be implemented as synchronous, which means that they operate together with the grid and, if needed, as a group of several generators.
Diesel generators are used as a prime power supply, i.e., main power supply, in places without access to the main grid or where it is difficult or financially unsound to join the main grid. This use may also be warranted when the load is extensive enough to interfere with other consumers’ energy supply due to switching phenomena.
Peak-cutting using a generator is necessary when the power supply contract includes a penalty fee for exceeding a certain power limit and the amount of the penalty fee is substantial compared to the total annual costs of power. Peak-cutting use is often combined with standby power use.
Our generator programme offers both open models for machine and equipment shelters or weatherproof models for outdoor installations. Open generators can be delivered as total turnkey packages, where we implement a complete installation in the desired premises, including any necessary installations for ventilation, fuel systems and exhaust systems.

The AG series diesel generators are intended to be used for standby and prime power supply. They bring reliable power to agriculture, manufacturing industries, hospitals, computer halls, fire and first response stations, water supply plants, power stations and electric power plants.
Mobile AGCO Power generators intended for continuous power generation have been designed to endure transport and to provide energy where it is needed – cost-effectively and reliably. The generators, equipped with power sockets or connection cable reels, are ready to start working at their destination (such as construction sites or maintenance sites) right after they have been factory approved.
We deliver generators that comply with the legal emission classes for the power range of 30 to 350 kVA. If a higher power is needed, we are technically prepared to cover generators with a higher power rating as needed via different structural solutions. Our expertise is based on proprietary production of engines and generators since 1952.
We can also deliver generators as different kinds of towable trailer versions. Depending on the version, they are compatible with slow or fast towing, including on highways. The towing devices for generators installed on domestically-built trailers can be towed with passenger cars, trucks or tractors. They are delivered as tested for instant use and inspected for roadworthiness.

Our UPSG containers combine a standby power generator and an energy storage, enabling fully uninterrupted power supply combined with lengthy standby power waiting period. The solution covers the range of 20 kVA to 2,500 kVA of completely non-interrupted power. The fully electric operational period of an UPSG solution is achieved with a battery. We are using solutions based on ultracapacitors as well as Li-ion or lead batteries. By changing the size of the fuel tank included in the system, we can increase the length of the operational islet to the desired size.
Our UPSG solutions can be placed in a container or a technical indoor facility. This product includes a standby power generator and an energy storage, enabling fully uninterrupted power supply combined with lengthy standby power waiting period. Electricity generated by UPSG is free of interference because it is generated locally and separated from the surrounding grid and loads.
This solution can also be used for stabilizing an electrical grid and improving the quality of power in advanced applications. The system also enables peak-cutting in sites where the oversizing of the standby generator must be avoided.
As fully electric vehicles are becoming more common, the possibilities for using battery technology are ever-increasing.
