AGCO Power’s 7.5‑liter, 6‑cylinder CORE75 engine was selected as the Engine of the Year 2023 at the annual Diesel Progress Summit. Organized by KHL and held in Louisville, Kentucky. The Summit gathered hundreds of industry experts to discuss the latest advancements in power technologies. Winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges recognized for their deep expertise in the power industry.
The jury, made up of industry veterans and specialists, praised the HVO‑compatible CORE75, noting:
“(The CORE75 has) …amazing low-end torque and fuel economy for the size of engine, which highlights the investment AGCO Power has put into the product line.”
This award underscores a clear message: the CORE engine platform—launched in 2022—successfully advances industrial combustion engine design, which many believed had reached its limits. After more than a decade of development and testing, the CORE platform is engineered to meet both current and future power needs of heavy working machines.
The results speak for themselves. With best-in-class torque (1450 Nm) and best-in-class fuel economy (188 g/kWh) in its power category, the CORE75 demonstrates that combustion engines still have significant potential. It is fully compatible with HVO fuels, and the platform has been designed to support future adaptations for alternative fuels such as hydrogen, methanol, ethanol, and biogas with minimal modifications.
The CORE75 is already in serial production and is an excellent fit for a wide range of heavy off‑road applications.
