AGCO Power CORE75 to powers two new tractors at EIMA 2026

AGCO Power’s CORE engine technology will be represented at EIMA International 2026 in new tractors from Massey Ferguson and Valtra. Developed from a clean sheet, the CORE engine family provides a next-generation platform for demanding agricultural and off-highway applications.
At EIMA International in Bologna, Italy, on 10–14 November 2026, visitors can explore new tractor applications of the CORE75 engine platform and see a CORE75 engine on display at the Valtra stand.
For machinery manufacturers, CORE offers a platform that can be matched to different power requirements, emissions regulations, machine layouts and transmission strategies. For operators, the focus is on fuel efficiency, strong pulling performance and a machine that responds predictably throughout the working day.
A new engine platform developed around machine requirements
AGCO Power developed CORE from a clean sheet to support the requirements of modern off-highway machinery. The engine family includes CORE50, CORE75 and CORE80, all developed at AGCO Power’s Linnavuori site in Finland, AGCO’s global centre of expertise for engine development and production.
CORE75 was named Engine of the Year 2023 at the Diesel Progress Summit Awards in Louisville, Kentucky. The newest member of the CORE engine family, CORE80, was named Diesel Engine of the Year 2026 by Powertrain International.
The platform’s flexibility allows AGCO Power to work with manufacturers on the needs of the complete machine, from engine installation and cooling to transmission strategy and operating conditions.
CORE75 in new Massey Ferguson and Valtra tractors
At EIMA 2026, new tractor ranges from Massey Ferguson and Valtra demonstrate further applications of the same engine platform.
Each application starts with a common platform and is tailored to the requirements of the machine and its intended use. Turbocharger specifications, engine control software and calibration are adapted to deliver the required power, load response and operating speed range. The positioning of service points and engine ancillaries is also tailored to suit each machine.

The CORE75 platform powers the new Massey Ferguson 7S MARK 2 tractor range, which will be presented at EIMA. In the MF 7S MARK 2 range, CORE75 is matched to the Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission. The range meets Stage V emissions requirements without exhaust gas recirculation.

Valtra’s new sixth-generation Valtra T Series is powered also by the 7.5-liter, six-cylinder CORE75 engine. In Valtra’s T Series, application-specific versions of CORE75 are paired with either the AGCO ML180 continuously variable transmission or a Powershift transmission. Visitors can see both the tractor and a CORE75 engine at the Valtra stand.
The CORE75’s long-stroke design, broad low-rpm torque range and flat power curve support pulling performance and consistent power delivery in field and transport work. The engine’s characteristics can be matched to the requirements of each tractor application.
The flexibility of the CORE75 platform extends beyond agricultural tractors to a wider range of off-highway applications, including forestry operations, where load conditions can change rapidly and engines must deliver controlled and responsive power.
“We do not develop engines as off-the-shelf products. Every CORE application is engineered together with the machine manufacturer to match the specific performance, integration and operating requirements of the machine,” says Jarno Ratia, Director of Product Management at AGCO Power.
Fuel efficiency depends on the complete machine
Fuel consumption affects operating costs over thousands of working hours. Achieving an efficient result requires the engine, transmission, cooling system and vehicle controls to work well together.
AGCO Power’s installation specialists work with machinery manufacturers to match the engine to the vehicle and its intended operating profile. This includes the cooling package, control systems and transmission strategy.
“For customers, fuel efficiency translates directly into operating costs. At the same time, operators need strong torque, fast response, and a machine that feels easy to drive. Our focus is on helping manufacturers combine these benefits in the complete machine,” says Ratia.
HVO compatibility today and a platform for future development
CORE engines can already run on renewable diesel in the form of HVO. At AGCO Power’s Linnavuori plant, tractors and trucks used for internal logistics run on this fuel.
The CORE engine platform is also designed to accommodate a wider range of fuels over time, including synthetic diesel, ethanol, methanol, biogas, and hydrogen.
